Mihael: I was born and raised in a small town in central Croatia called Karlovac. I attended the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Zagreb. I now live in the Croatian capital of Zagreb and primarily work in environmental protection.
Mihael: I first developed an interest in photography in high school. I don’t know why but one day I decided to buy myself a camera. In order to be able to afford one, I worked over the summer to buy my first DSLR with my own money. Yes, it may come as a surprise that I started immediately with DSLR. I do not know why but I was drawn to the feeling of holding the camera and shooting. Now here I am years later, fulfilling my dreams!
CoinaPhoto: What kind of photography are you most passionate about?
Mihael: At this point, I prefer landscape and nature photography however, I want to venture out. I took a trip to Dinara mountain in 2012 as part of a biological study. We hiked a lot and from that emerged some beautiful landscape photos. It was raining and I had to cover my camera with a plastic bag in order to be able to shoot.
CoinaPhoto: How do you find the CoinaPhoto platform? Do you have any words of wisdom for aspiring photographers out there?
Mihael: CoinaPhoto platform is very interesting and fun. I like the combination of photo contests and selling photos so just keep shooting!
